COVID-19 crisis demands a globally coordinated response.

BitMEX, in its post, wrote that COVID-19 is an unprecedented crisis which demands a global, coordinated response. Businesses have a vital role to play in efforts to slow the spread of the COVID 19 and mitigate its impact and save lives, and they are keen to contribute, in any manner they can, the exchange added. Arthur Hayes, co-founder and CEO of HDR Global, said that they are committed to thoughtful grantmaking and ensuring that their actions during the COVID-19 crisis can make the biggest impact now and in the future. Arthur Hayes further noted that these four organizations are making a tangible difference in tackling the coronavirus and mitigating global catastrophic biological risks.

Crypto companies come forward to help fight the pandemic.

BitMEX is not the sole crypto firm that has come forward and donated money to help fight the coronavirus pandemic. Earlier this month, one of the world’s leading crypto exchanges, Binance pledged least $2.4 million in crypto to buy coronavirus medical supplies and planned to further donate up to $2 million more through its Binance Charity Foundation. TRON foundation and several other exchanges also came forward to help fight the pandemic and encouraged others to do so as well.

Over 2.4 million people have been diagnosed with COVID 19, and 165,902 people have lost their lives because of this virus around the world. The new number of infections and deaths are increasing each day exponentially. The United States has reported the highest number of COVID 19 positive cases and deaths in the world, with over 700,000 infections and 40,565 deaths (at the time of writing).
