Fake ZecWallet discovered by Zcash community – Zcash News
Members of the Zcash community discovered a fake version of Zcash foundation’s Zecwallet. A twitter account mine Zcash tweeted that informed the community that there is a fake version of ZecWallet that likely contains malware. It also advised users to double-check the official website from where you are downloading the Zecwallet.
In the past, a bug was found in all Zcash implementations and most of its forks that could leak metadata containing the full nodes’ with shielded addresses IPs.

Earlier, cybersecurity firm ESET discovered a fake version of Tor Browser claiming to be the official Russian language version of the anonymous browser. The fake Tor browser stole funds from the darknet shoppers.
ESET also flagged a malware called Casbaneiro, which stole cryptocurrencies from users. This malware targeted banks and crypto services located in Brazil and Mexico, and it had allegedly stolen more than $10,000 in bitcoins before it was outed.
